About Me
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in evidence-based individual therapy treatments for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults struggling with anxiety, mood, behavioral, personality, and trauma-related disorders. Through creating a warm, supportive, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space for my clients and their families, I strive to assist my clients in developing effective tools to meet their therapeutic goals.
Utilizing an integrative approach in treatment, I am able to tailor my treatment plan to fit the individualistic needs of each client and family. More specifically, I practice from a psychodynamic and relational approach while intertwining evidence-based treatments. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as Behavioral Parent Training (BPT). Additionally, I have training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy (MCP), and mindfulness-based interventions. I am also working toward my certification in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), a dyadic treatment from children ages 0-5 and their caregivers who have experienced trauma.
I am committed to become a multicultural competent and social justice oriented clinician and have sought out training opportunities in community mental health clinics, hospitals, and private practice settings. In addition to my private practice, I am the Clinical Director and a full-time psychologist at Bellevue Hospital Center’s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Department. I also serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and am an Associate Professor teaching undergraduate courses in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies Minor (CAMS) at New York University.
If you are interested in working together, please contact me via email or fill out the inquiry form on my contact page. We will set up a brief, free phone consultation to discuss goals of care and answer any questions you may have about my services. Once it is determined that we are a good fit, we will schedule an intake evaluation before scheduling weekly therapy appointments.
